This was my second time drawing out this concept of a electrical pole that turns into a fir tree. This hand drawn illustration was done entirely in pen and ink. I was inspired to do it again a year later after doing the original because one of my closest friends wanted to get this design as a tattoo. The original, in the next slide, was one of the first times I had drawn trees growing out of an urban built environment feature that inspired most of the work that I still do today.
