Foothills Community Tree Canopy Report

The report below was created to access whether Foothills Community, an affordable housing development in Boulder, CO would be a good candidate to pilot the new urban forestry efforts in Boulder. The report presents both physical and social data as criteria that determine what makes this site suitable. Ideally, new urban forestry projects are happening in frontline communities that have lower income levels, lower tree canopy cover, greater exposure to environmental hazards like heat, and a greater proportion of people of color.
